Overall, my stay at the Catalina Beach Resort was a delightful experience thanks to the stunning location on La Ropa beach and the amazing staff. While the rooms were spacious and provided a nice view, they definitely showed signs of age and could use some updates. The dining was decent but had room for improvement, and I found the pool area to be smaller than expected. Despite these issues, the fantastic beach area made it all worthwhile.

My stay at the Catalina Beach Resort was nothing short of amazing! The breathtaking views, friendly and attentive staff, and the laid-back atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. While the stairs can be quite a workout and some areas could use a bit more maintenance, the overall experience, including the beautiful pool and beach access, more than made up for it.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Hotel Catalina, which offered a genuine Mexican experience without the all-inclusive option. The location right by Playa la Ropa was perfect, and the beach was gorgeous. While our room was beautiful and authentically decorated, the many stairs were a challenge. Service was mostly great, especially our wonderful waiter, Hiliberto. The dining options were decent, but the breakfast service was the highlight of our mornings.
