Delicious Dining Options

During my stay, I frequently dined at the hotel's restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of offerings. The food was good, with a standout being their Pastor Ahi tacos, which were simply amazing! Plus, the breakfast was a treat with an abundance of fresh fruit. Eating at the beach bar was also an added convenience, as they brought food directly to us under the palapas, letting us enjoy the sun without moving.

Spacious Rooms with Great Views

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room. It came equipped with everything we needed, including a huge balcony where we could relax in hammocks while enjoying the view of the beach. The air conditioning kept us comfortable during the hot summer nights, making our sleep much more enjoyable. Overall, the room was clean and offered a perfect setup for relaxation.

Great Shower Experience

The bathroom in my room was well-designed and spacious. The large vanity area provided ample space for my toiletries, and the walk-in shower had excellent water pressure. It was refreshing after a long day at the beach. Plus, despite the warmer water temperatures, it felt great after spending time under the sun.

Very nice Pool with Scenic Views

One of my favorite spots at the hotel was the infinity pool. It offered fabulous views over the bay, and I could relax there for hours. The pool was not crowded, giving us the perfect environment to unwind. I loved having the option to grab a cocktail from the bar as I enjoyed the stunning sunset. It was the ideal way to end my day!

Overall, my stay at the Catalina Beach Resort was a delightful experience thanks to the stunning location on La Ropa beach and the amazing staff. While the rooms were spacious and provided a nice view, they definitely showed signs of age and could use some updates. The dining was decent but had room for improvement, and I found the pool area to be smaller than expected. Despite these issues, the fantastic beach area made it all worthwhile.

My stay at the Catalina Beach Resort was nothing short of amazing! The breathtaking views, friendly and attentive staff, and the laid-back atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. While the stairs can be quite a workout and some areas could use a bit more maintenance, the overall experience, including the beautiful pool and beach access, more than made up for it.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Hotel Catalina, which offered a genuine Mexican experience without the all-inclusive option. The location right by Playa la Ropa was perfect, and the beach was gorgeous. While our room was beautiful and authentically decorated, the many stairs were a challenge. Service was mostly great, especially our wonderful waiter, Hiliberto. The dining options were decent, but the breakfast service was the highlight of our mornings.
